Fair Debt Collection Practices

Legal Considerations For Title Loans In Mississippi

autoCASH  conducts its customer account collection activities in strict compliance with the provisions of the Federal Fair Debt collection Practices Act enforced by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and other Federal Agencies. These regulations specifically prohibit the following:

  • Contacting consumers by telephone before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m.

  • Contacting consumers by phone with the intent to annoy, harass, etc., or using abusive language at any time.

  • Collecting debt through deception or misrepresentation.

  • Threatening legal recourse when no legal action is intended.

Credit Checks

autoCASH  fully complies with all federal and Mississippi state regulations requiring disclosures of interest rates, rollover limits, fees, charges, and terms. Before you assume any obligation you will be presented, in writing, with the exact rates, fees, and other details of your autoCASH  Title Loan (title pledge) as required by law. You are under no obligation to accept the terms provided by autoCASH.

Under Mississippi state law, the TERM of an autoCASH  Title Loan (title pledge) is 30 (thirty) days at a MAXIMUM INTEREST RATE of 25%.   By agreement of the parties, in writing, an autoCASH  Title Loan (title pledge) agreement may be extended for additional 30-day periods. Specific Mississippi state regulations apply to such extensions, including automatic monthly reduction of principal.

Late Payments or Failure To Pay

Federal And State Regulatory Compliance

autoCASH  does not conduct credit checks on its customers. At autoCASH,  your credit score does not affect the interest rate, fees or charges for Title Loans.

LATE PAYMENTS: Should an unexpected emergency arise that prevents you from making a payment according to the terms of your autoCASH  Title Loan (title pledge) agreement, our personnel are specifically trained to work with you to bring your account back into good standing if at all possible.

FAILURE TO PAY: Your vehicle's clear (unincumbered) Mississippi title is pledged to autoCASH  as collateral for your Title Loan (title pledge).
